HR specialist Copus expands Dutch presence further with acquisition of Eminent.

HR specialist Copus is furthering its growth trajectory in technical talent through a new acquisition in the Netherlands. With the addition of Eminent, the company’s local footprint is significantly expanded and its expertise is deepened in recruiting and guiding technical professionals ready for their second job. This makes the new acquisition perfectly complementary to Enginear, which focuses on early-career engineers. “With this acquisition, we strengthen our position as a specialist and give the company the opportunity to further develop within our group,” says Brecht De Mey, newly appointed CEO of Copus.

Antwerp – May 7, 2025 – HR specialist Copus has the ambition to become the leading reference for technical talent in Belgium, the Netherlands, and Germany. In line with that vision, the group has made several acquisitions in recent years, including Dutch players Enginear and Stratt+. Now, the Copus collective of 12 HR specialists is being further strengthened by the acquisition of Eminent, a specialist in highly educated technical profiles with 3 to 8 years of experience. New CEO Brecht De Mey is confident in the strategic value of the acquisition: “We’re obviously pleased to welcome this strong company into our family. With its seven locations, Eminent significantly boosts our presence in the Netherlands — a market we intend to further grow in the coming years. Moreover, there is excellent complementarity, especially with Enginear, which focuses on entry-level engineers, while Eminent specializes in guiding professionals towards their second job. Eminent also has strong capabilities in installation technology and mechanical engineering, areas that Enginear is increasingly expanding into. I see great potential for both growth and synergies.”

Eminent has already established a solid position in the Netherlands as a secondment partner for highly educated technical professionals, meaning that the technical talents in question are on Eminent’s payroll and, following a thorough matching process, get the opportunity to work for one of Eminent’s clients, with the possibility of a permanent position over time.

In the past fiscal year, the company reported approximately €20 million in revenue, with 50 employees and double-digit profitability. Director Bram Meijer will continue to lead the team going forward. Bram Meijer: “We’re very excited to join Copus. From the very first contact, it was clear that our values and ambitions aligned perfectly. Both at Eminent and among the other members of the Copus group, people are at the center — and all our processes are built around that. I look forward to the exciting growth journey we will embark on together.”

With the addition of Eminent, Copus’ total headcount rises to 500 employees, of which 100 are based in the Netherlands.
